Comment:
One of the best Lib-Arts professors I've had. He tries to have students lead discussion (you write a paper on a reading and ask questions to lead the class) and jumps in when needed. A little dry, but he doesn't try pushing an agenda on you. Tests are short essay but not hard, papers are somewhat-easy grade if you proofread and talk to him 1-on-1.

Comment:
Professor Redekop expects too much out of his students. Most of the readings he chooses are extremely boring and he assigns about twice as much as other professors do. I would not take this professor if you are taking 20+ hours/term.

A "real" professor. Bases his class on discussion and encourages synthesis and higher-level thought. Few assignments that are well-written and structured, truly tests your learning in the class.

Great professor. Cares about the students and the material. Lots of reading, but that goes for all the senior seminar profs. Very clear on what is expected and very willing to help when asked.

Good professor. Is very clear on what is expected and it isn't hard to achieve. There is a TON of reading required, but most skim through it and you can still do okay.

This guy is really into Philosophy and expects us to be too. Participation and attendance are 20% of grade. Assigns reading for each class, but talks about it in class. Must work hard to get an A. Fair grader and good guy though. Just needs to realize that it's supposed to be an elective and we have better things to do than learn philosophy.

Very helpful and a really good guy. I had him for a couple of classes and he always shows the same passion abotu the subject at hand. I'm a EE so I really don't care to much about this stuff but he made me want to do better because he was so concerned with each students progress.

A good professor. He knows his subject and teaches it well. Not that engineers care, but that fact is, he doesn't expect too much. Just do the reading, talk about it in class, and you'll do fine. Participation is the key, as by participating, you'll pay attention and do good on the tests.

This dude is not only a good guy but a decent prof as well.Down to earth and may I go so far as to say that he can understant the life of a student. Not a gimme grade and as far as Senior Seminar goes, you'll have to do more work than in other prof's class.

He expects alot form you, little reading, but very hard to understand. One papper which is worth 21% of your grade. 16 % on test, and 16 on class participation. If you are into philosophy take tihs class, but this is not a easy A.

B is for Ben and BORING! Films are boring but don't hold a candle to his lectures. ZZZZZZ Fair enough grader. Makes you come to class. Personality is lacking (aka he's a [email protected]*khead). Take him if you have to, you'll be ok.
