Hey all, I do not know Dr. Barton from the classroom. However, I probably know him better than any "student" he has ever had. I know him from Belwood Lake Ontario. He is a family friend, for 35 years. The things I have learned from him have never stemmed from from a textbook, usually from life experience. "own your own projections".

Hmmm...there was a lot of disconnect between him and the TA...would have appreciated it if they were mutually more informative, but the course wasn't too bad. If you're into health/social psyc and human kinetics, then this is for you.

...clear as a brick wall at times...really, who expects everyone to have taken health/social psychology courses. The paper wasn't too bad. Actually, I rather enjoyed it once I got the jist of APA (book helps...libraries all over have it).

The midterm/final are EASY (though there 3 or 4 questions on the midterm that I remember talking about/aren't in the text...weird, but guessable). The paper's not too bad, but keep in mind that the TA's looking for something that's adherent to the APA BOOK, not websites (which tend to be slightly wrong), and he's looking for time/effort as well.

jim was really nice and very helpful BUT THAT TA WAS A JERK AND A HALF. i would have liked the course a lot better if jim had been marking the papers. but the MC were kind of confusing and there was some stuff that i swear we didn't look at. but overall, he's a really good prof, just know your stuf

This guy knows his subject really well and has lots of real world experience in the field. He tries to make it simple and straightforward with multiple choice, non-cumulative exams, but his TA is a prick with a stick up his arse who is in love with APA documentation style. Overall, OK professor.

Prof. Barton is very knowledgable when it comes to sport psyc. His own life experiences were quite intriguing. Many of the students felt that the TA for this course was innappropriate in his grading. With two MC exams and a paper, make sure you know APA like no other or else you'll pay dearly.

I didn't find the subject of this class interesting at all and the midterm and final, although multiple choice, complicated things that were simple to try and make them ridiculously hard. However Prof Barton is appraochable and a nice guy.

He has good powerpoint notes, but he goes through them way too fast to keep up with taking notes. He kinda just mumbles through each slide without really reading it. But he is a really nice guy
