Comment:
Saphida was not a fair lab instructor. Her midterms were incredibly difficult and produced an average of 50-65% on each. She was unclear on what the students should know and required the labs to be marked with excessive scrutiny. Her TAs were nice and knowledgeable, but she did not reflect those qualities.

She was a fair lab prof. Personally, it wasn't terrible but she didnt prepare us well for the lab quizzes. However she did do a good job outlining what she will test us on, and i was able to make a good outline that helped me get an A- on the exam. Take advantage of her office hours, and she responds to emails, and is straight forward.

Saphida is not a good lab instructor. Her midterms and final are unfair with material that was not covered in the lab experiments or manuals. Make sure you are able to identify every organism that is even mentioned in the lab tutorials. She is not easy to contact if you have questions about the course and will take weeks to get back to you.

People who say she is a great professor are nerdy anti-social weirdos. Saphida has no communication skills and you can say blank words associated with the lab, have no clue what you're talking about, and Saphida will think you're genius (e.g. me). Take any course with another prof. if you can, she will make you mad.

Saphida was a great professor. She knew her stuff, and taught in a way that made it fun and straightforward. Definitely a fair marker and anyone who says she is tough just doesn't put enough effort in. The class is easy and enjoyable if you just put in the time and effort.

Very smart and approachable prof. If you have the drive to do good in her classes, you will do good. If you slack, you will get nowhere. She is willing to help and is friendly. Hard but fair marker.

People are way too hard on Saphida on this site. I had her for wildlife and fisheries and she was very knowledgable and helpful, and very kind to the whole class. Hard marker, yes, but also fair. Approachable and willing to help 1 on 1

Hard marker, but approachable. Don't slack though, she has little patience for fools. If you make the effort to read ahead, and learn a bit on your own, you'll find a great instructor who can answer all the hard questions; if you are a slacker, she'll give you enough rope to hang yourself.

Although it is a tough class, Saphida is extremely fair. You will not do well if you slack off, but if you work hard you will be rewarded. She is extremely helpful if you make the effort to do well and pay attention in the class. I found her to be very knowledgeable, with a good teaching style.

Saphida is a fantastic lab instructor if you go with a good attitude and want to learn. She is a tough marker, but she is very helpful and approachable. I found her class extremely interesting, she was very knowledgeable and gave very thorough prelabs. Yes, it is a difficult class, but if you put the effort in you can do well.

Saphida is the most evil woman on the face of the earth. Honestly! She will ask you incredibly detailed questions based on information she should have taught you. Also, an incredibly hard marker to boot. To put things in perspective, no one in my class got a grade over 70% thanks to this woman. Avoid at all costs!EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the most unknowledgeable profs i have ever had. Constantly giving information that is completely wrong and contrary to what the other faculty members are teaching. After completing her class be prepared to have to learn the correct version of what she taught incorrectly.

If you work hard, she'll reward you. If you slack, you'll pay for it. I wasn't sure I liked her just based on my experiences in her lab, but after going for one-on-one help and talking to her a bit, I'd say she's a super helpful and awesome person

K, here's whats up. She's a nice lady, and I think her accent is pretty cool. She's a really cool lady. But man, she is a terrible lab instructor! That lab was the DEVIL! There were a lot of spelling mistakes in her lab manual. I know she is from another country but still, students pay for a legible manual. She's too strict. And her exams...AUGH!
