If you did poorly in this class, it's not this professor's fault. If you are prepared to work hard, you will learn lots. Needing certain marks to get into med doesn't mean you deserve those marks. You have to work hard to earn them.

Comment:
BIOL100 is hard because it's used to weed out those who dodn't study hard enough, or just aren't suited to biology. Do what I did, take responsibility for your OWN education and actually learn something and you'll do fine. If you expect to be spoon-fed like in highschool, you'll fail. But that'd be your fault, not Heather's.

Believe it or not, those of us who studied our asses off in her labs instead of complaining were better off for it. We're the ones with Doctor in front of our names now. Thanks Heather!!!!!!!!!

Everyone hated Heather in 100, but honest she's an awesome person. Teaches you tons of valuable stuff and has fun while she's doing it. Work is hard, but she is fair.

VERY HARD LAB! Study like mad, or you'll be screwed! Memorize the lab manual like I did, and you'll only swing a 62 in the lab. My advise: do absolutely every little thing IN the lab, so the TA's can help you, that'll make the lab somewhat decent, plus lab TA Katherine, is FINE, talk to her!

Comment:
Bio 100 lab is awful. Be prepared to study your ass off and get nowhere because of it. She asks unimportant questions and expects you to know a huge amount of info. And if you try to get help from her, good luck because she is awful at explaining and she can't tell you WHY you lost marks.

To be honest, her Bio 100 lab exams are almost impossible to pass. But it gets better in Bio 220. It's still not easy, though, and the amount of work you have to do for the 220 lab is unreasonable. On the bright side, though, Bio 220 is the funnest lab

Ms.Stanley is a terrible Biology 100 lab instructor. If you are interested in Biology or need it for something like premedicine,do yourself a favor & head up the road 2 hours north to the U of S to take your classes. Avoid Heather Stanley like the plague!

The labs are boring but not hard. There is a rediculous amount of material you have to know for the exams, especially the little things you wouldn't think important.
