I was not impressed with this guy. Doesn't teach stuff that doesn't interest him. You watch 10 of the most outdated videos, he doesn't use the Internet, doesn't give assignments, doesn't mark anything prompty. This guy barely works. I should be a prof. Post grades on his door. Seriously what did I pay for this semester?

This guy shouldn't be qualified to a professeur. Doesn't use UR courses or the textbook. Strictly lectures, if I wanted to pay someone to speak everyday with zero organization or planning I would go to a poetry reading. Took 2 weeks to mark our finals, glad u had a nice holiday buddy!!! While we were waiting. Don't professeurs have deadlines?

I love how this man lectures. He makes everything sound like the most interesting discovery ever -- he really knows and enjoys this stuff. The semester was a bit disorganized due to a few absences. Otherwise, I learned a lot from him. Go to class, pay attention to him and his videos and you should do wonderfully!

Does not use slides or post anything online, but gives very clear lectures. You have to take good notes and attend class. Final and midterm are a mixture of many question types. No assignments. Made class very interesting! He is an awesome prof! I learned lots from this fellow! Did not use the textbook once.

This class was very informative and interesting! However, he does not use UR COURSES, leaving you with the confusing textbook and your notes. He shows lot of videos. I am a 90% average student and I felt the tests to be very tricky and all in the semantics. He was also absent ALOT this semester -- 5 classes. Great class but a disorganized semester.

Dr. Alfano is an incredibly smart man. I loved his class but have never received such a poor mark for something I was so interested in. His exams are too tricky. Read every word carefully and ask if you don't understand one. Also, be extremely detailed in your answers. Finally, I wish he would step into this decade and set up UR Courses. Seriously.

Great prof! Truly loves what he does and you can tell through his teaching. Old school approach of no PPT but just attend class and take his notes. Very interesting material as well. Exams are just MC, Short Answer and one Essay(1 page). Make sure you know about Alz Hemiers and Epilepsy. Highly recommended.

LOVEDTHISCLASS! He doesn't post notes so it's up 2 u 2 attend class and take them. But somehow, his explanation are so clear! I had almost complete understanding of the material before starting 2 study 4 tests because his explanations are that good. Lectures are interesting(pretty much basic bio). If you've done a bio class,it'll b a piece of cake!

Something about him is insanely irritating. He's kinda feminine. His midterms are kinda worded tricky. However, he's a good guy, and the class is pretty straight forward if you can take your own notes.

Awesome Prof, very clearly discussed the material and made relevant real life examples. I was never bored, always looked forward to his class. The material was interesting and challenging, but his tests could have been harder. He wouldn't tell us the secret of his fanny pack, however...

You have take notes (he repeats important stuff few times). There are several videos.Exams are not easy(MC questions are hard, midterm & final are both worth 50%)-if you are a science major you will not have issues. Since he is not much fun lectures can be boring but regular attendance is necessary in order to pass. P.S he drinks coke every class

Very good prof. Makes material very easy to comprehend and retain. Exams are okay. MC questions can be confusing (all of the above, more than one of the above, etc.), though, and be sure to write more than what the instructions ask for in the definitions and short/long answer questions or you will lose significant marks.

Had him for a spring class. Fairly good and quite talented at breaking info down. He can be arrogant at times but for the most part he is a helpful and nice guy. Exams are fairly straight forward with a few MC that can be awkwardly worded. If you attend class to take all the oral notes you should do ok.

no webct notes so you better write fast! but if you get everything down and study from it then you don't even need to read the textbook. repeats everything 2-3 times so you'll know its important. if you attend class and pay attention it'll be an easy class.

I don't know what to make of this guy. His arrogance is astounding, but he also tries to hide it underneath this fragile and emotional exterior. I don't really care, it was an interesting class (come on, we chopped up a sheep brain!) but he seemed disingenuous at times. What's the word I'm looking for...irritable? Yeah...that will work.

Great prof because he has an intersing way of teaching but beware of his grading! He has two tests each 50%. So if you do poorly on one you can't really make it up
