Cheerful and kind, but not a very good professor. Tends to drone on and doesn't make the class very interesting. Sometimes has difficulty staying on topic and doesn't do a good job of preparing students for tests. You can find most of the answers you need in the slides or online, which is fortunate because you'll be looking for knowledge elsewhere.

Comment:
Instructor could not communicate clearly leading to huge confusion in the class. No flow of arguments, he is all over the place. When students ask any questions during the class, he could not give direct answers making it even worse. Students have to keep reminding him of original point of discussion, to bring him back on track.

He is one of the worst Prof. that I have ever seen during my journey. By the way, Most of the students do have the access for midterm and final exam questions " TestBank". Many mistake in slides. Help yourself by reading the book. Not Fair at all.

Hafizur is a very nice guy and is enthusiastic about teaching economics. He often gets sidetracked in lectures and will start talking about random subjects or his personal life. He is always there to provide help when needed. He is good at explaining the material, but I found that the course was almost all self-taught from the textbook.

Took econ 310 with Hafiz in the fall semester 2009 , and have to agree what a useless teacher. Very arrogant, wont provide you with sufficeint feedback in regards to replying emails, and we only knew 30% of our final grade going into the final. Dont think about taking this guy because he is an imbecile.

I'll be honest. Nice guy, but useless prof. We knew 30% of our grade going into the final. I learned more about his family than anything about financial markets. When he marks I think he picks a number out of a hat and that's what you get. Avoid at all costs, I'll change my major before taking another class with him.

Hafiz is a very nice guy. Sometimes he gets carried away and forgets what the lecture was supposed to be on, so consequently misses some corricular matter, but doesn't test you on topics he misses. Very helpful and passionate about his students, I would definitely take another class with Hafiz. I learned a lot.
