Comment:
Dr. Peterman is a solid, respectable man who cares enough about teaching to successfully impart his knowledge of chemistry to his students. Taking this class as a high school sophomore, even I found it extremely easy. His lectures are informative, the exams are easy, and he is quite jovial. That said, the homework is online (and tedious).

His class is simple and can earn a B+ or A if you put in the work. Write this advice down because it took me a whole semester to verify: Do all hw (help by office hours, learning center, textbook & web), do extra credit hw, get 1 or 2 extra copies of class ws to make test study guides, ws's test, no quizzes just 5 tests, drop lowest, and final.

Dr. Peterman is passionate about chemistry and is a good lecturer. Sometimes he gets off topic talking about climate change, he's a big supporter of spreading awareness on that issue. Fairly easy class, didn't need the book for much besides homework.

Great professor. Although, the class is self-taught. If you don't do the homework problems, you'll have no idea what he is saying in lecture. But that's still okay because you just have to read the chapter. Pretty easy material. Gives extra credit. You CAN'T not get an A! Ps: he is very smart and cares about the environment :) very involved in ACS

Excellent professor! Best chem teacher I had. I highly recommend taking his class. Everything he teaches, is thoroughly explained. If something is not understood, he will break it down so you will understand it.

He is a great teacher, very helpful, and always willing to answer any question you have. If you don't like partiscipating in class, he randomly calls you to partiscipate.

Not too bad of a class. He posts online last years exams and if you look at them, they re basically going to be the same exact thing as you are taking. As long as you do the homework and look at his past examples you will be absolutely fine ! He does not teach a whole lot of test material so be prepared !

He taught quant for one semester when Foy left and I LOVED him. He's very sweet, and will try to help anyway he can. He does fun little presentations to help you learn. But be careful, you will actually learn something! You gotta work for a grade, but you will actually know the material.

Where do I even begin--I loved chemistry until I took this course. I repeated it--so many times I can't even count. I failed this course time and time again. I must have learned something eventually because I am now a college chemistry instructor. Dr Peterman tried with me--we just didn't bond too well (pun intended)!

Nice guy. Tests are exact homework problems, but if you dont do homework you will fail tests because doesn't teach much of actual test material. Enjoyed class, interesting field trips, just do the homework and study it to memorize it and you will do well.

He's a nice guy but he doesn't teach at all. You basically have to learn the chemistry from the book on your own. I'm not a chem major, and this is a 100 level class- it's just ridiculous. Way to much work for a class that's not even a major requirement.
