Hilarious guy, learned a lot from him as he keeps thing interesting and relevant. The 3 hour class is still long to sit through, however. He does wait his multiple choice a little bit to heavily on the midterm and final. Make sure not to buy the textbook used, as he does the online stuff (or just buy the code and forget the book altogether).

Alan is a great teacher in Economics. I did so good in his quizzes and midterm!!! the only difficult part is the final. The final was way harder than midterm I've done. The final worths 35% of the grade which is not that fair compared to other courses.

i showed up late to class with 2 minutes left in the quiz. i asked him if i could write it during the break. He said no and i had to write it in two - five minutes. ( he gave me an extra three minutes). while everyone else had 15 minutes.

Simply the best. An old school prof in the best sense of the term, his lectures are educational and entertaining. Be forewarned about his exams- Alan's standards are high and he expects you to know your stuff. You won't find a better Intro prof anywhere.

Best teacher I've had at cap! really funny and extremely smart. He wrote the text so there's no one better to learn from. Quizzes are pretty easy, mid term and final are extremely hard.

He's funny and uses good examples to relate the subject to real life (although it still didnt make me care about the class) BUT after half a semester he gets annoying. He is pretty strict with food and cell phones too. But I guess he's still better than other teachers. He's British so sometimes I dont get what he's saying.

Alan is a great professor, easily one of the best at Cap. He's really clear about quizes and exams, and very fair when marking them. His humour keeps a boring class fun. He has no bias and so if you don't do well it's not him, it's you.

Alan is the best. KEEP UP WITH YOUR READING. The bell curve really spreads out towards the end of the semester-on our last two quizzes our class (35 students) had 15 A's and 15 F's. If you stay on top, there's no one better to learn this from.

Best teacher yet! Explains things slowly and clearly. He's easy to understand and lets you know expectations (due dates) right away. There is so much to know in econ: study key questions from book and lyryx, do all the homework and study for quizzes and you'll do very well.

Took him for 111 and 112. He is still one of my favorite professors. He made the concepts easy to understand and went at a slow pace if the class did not understand. Midterms and finals would be marked on the same day and it will be posted on moodle within hours of your examination. Overall, the class is tough and the final is brutal.

Alan is very good at teaching in the class but no helpful or willing to help students outside of the class at all. I understand that the subject is pretty boring but therefore there should be more help from the professors and not less. He is in twice a week and if u go to see him 10 min before office hours are done he won't accept you. Another thing which I didn't comply is the method that the economics dept chose which goes against the system of grading from the rest of the uni final exam issue

Maybe Alan looked at all these reviews and decided to make the tests harder. The average for our final exam was 63%. Microeconomics is a challenging course, but also an interesting course if you like Economics. Overall, I really like Alan. He makes the material interesting and fun. Overall, he is a good prof and I recommend him.

Everything taught in this class could not be clearer. It is very convenient that he wrote the text book, everything matches up nicely. Lyryx is an online homework/quiz thing, this is very helpful, but annoying to do and can really make me mad. So all in all Alan Morris is a fantastic teacher, but i think Economics should die in a hole.

Allan is the funniest man ever. He makes the subject very understandable and interesting. I don't know how easy his test's are though.... My classes average for the midterm was around 62% and the past two quizzes have been failed miserably by most people.
