Comment:
Dr.B's lectures are boring and monotone. The only way to understand his lectures is to have read the whole chapter and done all the book questions before he even begins to teach them. Lectures so fast it's impossible to take any notes: a kind and funny man who will answer questions after class. But you probably won't take any info in from lectures.

Dr. B is an awesome professor! Hes hilarious and very serious about chemistry. I had him online during the pandemic, and though it was a lot of textbook reading, he was always willing to answer questions during lecture and hosted tutorials for extra help during his own time. I would definitely recommend taking one of his classes.

CBU is lucky to have a prof like Dr. B. I haven't had any other profs who volunteer 30+ hours of their own time a semester to run tutorials for his students. If you go to his office he will explain a topic for you in different ways until you understand. He moves quickly in class so put the work in and don't blame him for your shortcomings.

Comment:
It is unfortunate that Dr. Britten teaches the majority of the analytical courses at CBU. There will be no notes or lecture slides for any of his courses. You will be expected to read the book and teach yourself the material. Very poor professor. Avoid any classes with Dr. Britten. Also, don't get him to pick your class schedule.

"Dr. B" is a very smart man and a very poor teacher. He does not explain information well and wastes a ton of time during lectures. He is definitely one of the worst (if not THE worst) professors I've ever had. I did good in his class only because I put the work in myself, he didn't teach me anything. I do not recommend his upper year classes

He really wants you to understand Chemistry. He doesn't stop till you do. Nice, funny guy. Probably the best professor I've had at this University.

Excellent Prof. Sparked my interest in new branches of Chemistry I previously did not know existed. May find him difficult to learn from if you are a slow learner. Tends to move at what most people would call an average rate but maybe a little fast for others. Bit of a hardass but also likes to goof around. Always available for extra help.

Really knows his stuff, and wants you to do well. Has a very hands on and cool approach to things. Is silly and likes to joke around. But goes through course material very quickly. If you don't understand something ask for help and be will not stop until he finds a way for you to get it.
