O dear god. most boring/brutal guy to listen to. Show up once a week for clas to see if there's an essay due. Other then that dont bother going. All he does is talk about poems or short stories that aren't even on a mid term cause there isn't one. EASY class. But BRUTAL.

Comment:
Ken really tried to keep the class interesting, but it was brutal. He hardly showed up or would just walk out after 10 minutes of lecture. I was graded an unacceptable mark and when I attempted to discuss it with him he claimed that he was "having a grumpy day when he marked my paper." I wouldn't place my education in his hands again.

Ken is a good guy, understanding about late assignments. Marks fairly hard, but at least he is reading them and giving you proper feedback with what you need to work on. Was appreciative of those that showed up everyday.

Class was very laid back, generally didn't have a direction for his lectures. Hard to figure out what he wanted on papers based on classroom work. Your mark seems to go up the longer you're in his class and the better he knows you. Very friendly guy, but I felt I didn't learn much from the class. Don't have to attend class to earn a high grade.

Ken is so slack, lectures are interesting, funny, and probably last twenty minutes on average. He marks hard but fair and the comments he gives are VERY helpful

Comment:
Because I've been writing for a long time and I'm half way through my degree, my writing didn't improve much in this course. However, Ken does give some interesting strategies that work well in papers for other classes. The material in class is DRY, but he does try to make it more interesting. Good debates too. Easy credit.

not a bad class. did a lot better than expected. i say go to class and take good notes, they help with the final and papers. When writing the papers, if you take an opposite stance from Ken make sure you can justify it WELL. i recommend this class for sure

Not a bad guy, just BLAH. Can't say I learned much. He's not a great lecturer and he doesn't give you much feedback on papers. Wouldn't bother taking another one with him.

Very committed to his field and great, twisted sense of humour. You'll have to work for an A in his class. Expect the first paper to have a lower grade than the rest.
