Comment:
He could not put any less effort into teaching his classes. Tells students to study handouts by putting terms into your own words - then marks you wrong if you put definitions in your own words on tests. This class is purely based on recall memorization, zero actual knowledge gained. Assignments are confusing to comprehend and no help is given.

He's very knowledgable and passionate. This is my second class I've taken with him and he's very flexible and understanding. He's a kind soul, very helpful. I'd take more classes with him for sure!

He's understanding and nice enough, but extremely opinionated and biased. Will frame examples of things he doesn't like in an extreme manner to make them seem ridiculous. All classes of his seem to repeat the same things? But no real need to take notes.

Boring lectures for this class. It would have been nice of him to split us off into groups for a discussion, or something! At least he gives us handouts to memorize.

I have had Brad for a variety of Psych classes. He is extremely intelligent. His lectures are, at times, hard to understand, however he is always happy to help clarify. His exams are easy to ace, and his papers are straightforward- once you decipher exactly what he wants- Follow his specific directions and you will do well!

Brad may come across as intimidating but if you actually ask him for help, he will help you. His study guides make it so that you know exactly what you are expected to know for the test. This way, your time studying is focused on the right information. I recommend Brad and I would definitely take another class with him.

I have taken 3 classes with Brad and, although he can ramble and is a self-proclaimed luddite, he is a smart guy with a lot of good insights and gets you to think critically. His exams are just what he says (only handouts and overheads) and nothing more (don't by the texts). The most challenging part is his papers...tough critic, but do-able.

The man could definitely stand to invest in an English course. He relies on his handouts to write tests, which normally isn't a problem, but the information is vague at best and incomprehensible at worst. Use your textbook for a second definition of the terms on his handouts you'll undoubtedly not understand.

I took Brad's History of Psych and Personality 2006-2007, am now in Grad school and can honestly say this was the MOST useful and impacting class of my Psych undergrad. Thank you Brad - I did not appreciate your courses enough until now.

Probably the easiest prof I've had in terms of testing, but he's unbelievably boring. I have a long attention span and I've never been distracted during a lecture before, but I've come close to falling asleep during his. Definitely bring a laptop or do your homework during class; just pay attention to what he tells you to take note of.

Brad teaches critical thinking skills and I learned a lot from this course. He has many interesting things to say if you listen. I approached him during office hours & he was nice and helpful. He does seem uncomfortable around students at times but just smile and he will relax. If you put in the effort his written assignments are very manageable.

Just memorize the handouts and the definitions he says to study and don't even bother with the text book. His tests are just like he tells you, only study the info he tells you to study. His written assignments were incredibly difficult. Boring topic.

Terrible. Boring and although he gives hand outs on what to study the tests are not clear and the questions are often misleading.

Tests were really easy.Probably the easiest tests I've ever taken for an upper-level.However, the paper assignment was very difficult and vague.Classes were boring. He just rambles on and on; I suggest bring a laptop. He is also intimidating to talk to during office hours.I wouldn't take him again and do not take the 3 hour night class (big mistake).

Not a good teacher at all. Kind of rude and exceptionally unhelpful. I wish he would retire and leave the teaching to someone who actually likes people. I would not recomend this guy to teach my dog how to sit.

Brad is essentially a robot. He has his binder full of premade overheads, and regurgitates information from the text, which you have to read anyway. Grades are based on just 3 tests, which is kinda harsh. He is a little arrogant and very impersonal, and doesn't bother to learn anyone's name. Thank god the material is interesting.

he takes an interesting first year psychology course and makes you fall asleep in class. there were people waitlisted, (the class was full) but now only ~ half the seats are filled each lecture. It's a good thing that his tests are so easy, you don't need to go to class where he uses 15 year old overheads. I can't believe his area is personality.
