He teaches at Texas Tech actually...but he was a fabulous teacher! very funny, intelligent, and easy to talk to. You really do need to read the books assigned for the week because if you don't you'll fail the quizzes and wont be able to write the weekly essay. easy class, great prof!

Very arrogant, seemed to treat and grade Arts students much better than students from other faculties.

Oh, Micheal... It's a shame to hear he has left us for Texas! I guess he finally gave in to the pull of the South. I am going into 4th year and I have taken many courses but he is one of the best profs I've known at the UofA or elsewhere. I regret missing so many of his classes, but the beer night after last day is a special experience

Mike was awesome! He was the nicest prof I have ever met, he would go above and beyond the call of duty to help his students out. He taught us about culture and life, and was probably the best prof the U of A English dept. ever had, we will all miss him! (lucky Texians!)

He did buy beer after the last class, which did not ease my C's on every single piece of work I did no matter how much effort or help I asked for. Very funny and entertaining prof which is refreshing, I guess you just have to figure out what he wants.

He was non traditional. The texts we studied were very much geared to what he enjoyed rather than a variety. He likes jazz and the southern US. Topics I did not care for therefore making the class unenjoyable. He needs to add more variety

He is so funny. Taking his class is like watching stand up comedy w/the theme being literary works. If anyone could make the class laugh on that topic its him. Great prof

Mike was a GREAT proffesor! The best I've ever had at University and tough competition to beat. He made the transition to University much better for first years. His papers were quite open to interpretation and his exams were fair. A GREAT PROFFESOR!!

Mike's an awesome prof, good for first years who are afraid of Uni! One bit of advice though: he expects papers extremely well written... come up with ideas in class, and then EDIT EDIT EDIT! Pretty cute too.. :D

Nice guy. His class is based on literary discussion, so be prepared to talk. He doesn't ask much in terms of papers, but he makes you right thoughtfull and proper papers. His testing methods are questionable though...
