Comment:

Absolutely one of the most time consuming classes and hardest professors I have had. The work load was so heavy and she graded the hard work we put in so harshly. Your best work got you maybe a 6/10. You have weekly discussions that are equivalent to 5 page papers weekly. If you could take this class with a different professor I would!

If you have the chance to have anyone else, do it. She's nice in class, but in all honestly is kind of a hctib, especially when grading. Take no consideration to the time of students even though she sees herself as a student psychology genius. If you are reading this cause you have Wong, good luck, you'll need it.

Professor Wong is very knowledgable, and you will learn a lot from her. The class did have a lot of reading, and she expects well thought out responses to discussions, but it is entirely possible to succeed. Give yourself enough time for her work, or for the extra credit opportunities, and you'll be okay.

I LOVE being an education major at UD, dont get me wrong. Its one of the best teacher prep programs in the country. But YIKES. Wong made me question everything. She was rude, her directions were 20 pages long for assignments, and half of what she taught us was inaccurate. Unnecessarily difficult and stressful class.

Nice enough woman, I guess. The material itself is not challenging, but her grading is. Her instructions are very complex and particular. After spending lots of time on many assignments, I never seemed to meet her guidelines, no matter how hard I tried. The work is very repetitive and tedious, leaves very little room for own intellectual ideas.

SOOOOOOO much time must be put into this class. The amount of time spent on homework and papers is insane. Overall kind of an annoying person. Interesting class but just drags on lessons.

Profesor Wong is an amazing professor. She's extremely intelligent. She truly cares about her students, specially if they show their interest on learning . Do the work and follow her rubric though and you'll be fine.

Get ready to have your Cognitive Load bursting with irrelevant information! The only thing i got out of this class was sleep deprivation, a nightmare (not even kidding), and how to properly praise a student.

Prof. Wong is a very tough grader. There is SO much busy work and so many papers. A lot of the work is really redundant. The content is not hard at all she just makes you do a lot of work about easy things. This class is required, so good luck, and make sure to use a lot of details in your work.

More work than necessary. Useless group work. Extreme field placement block of time (6:45 am-12:45pm needs to be left open) Kind of an annoying person to be around. But she's the only option for this course currently, so enjoy!

Dr. Wong is a very tough professor and assigns more work than seems necessary for the class. She is incredibly sweet and understanding though, and she really cares about her students doing well. If you show up to class and participate thoughtfully, you can definitely do well. When she says don't wait until the last minute to do assignments, don't!

SO much work in and out of class. She def treats it like a 400 level class. I don't mind work but most of it was busy work and I don't think I learned much from the class. She's sweet and funny in a quirky way but grades kind of tough. Do the work and follow her rubric though and you'll be fine.

I can't even begin with this woman. No tests but her unit assessments are basically impossible. According to her rubric and her own definition, getting an A is nearly impossible. Takes forever to return assignments. Talks to us like we're 12 year olds. Doesn't understand that we have other classes and loads up the work. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Dr. Wong is very kind but will talk to you like you are in elementary school. Prepare to do lots of group work and busy work. It was required that I take this class or I wouldn't have taken it. I don't think I have actually learned anything yet. AVID tutoring and field observations have been helpful though.

Dr. Wong is a really nice person, but I can't stand the class. I have yet to learn anything useful. The writing prompts & papers aren't hard, but they're pointless. Her rubrics and instructions are wayyy too complicated too-even for a 400-level class. Sometimes I feel like she talks to us like high schoolers instead of future high school teachers.

Dr. Wong is tough but a really good teacher. I have learned SO much in this class. The "unit assessments" are pretty tricky but there are no tests. Don't pack your schedule if you're taking her because you have outside work. Easy A or B. She is always available for help and she's a great book of information about teaching!

I am getting a good grade in the class, but she is a horrible teacher. Teaches like we are 3 years old. Has no regard for our other classes and doesnt give proper instructions. Too long to do well on papers. DO NOT TAKE HER IF POSSIBLE. Waste of time.
