Professor Murray is a very caring and nice professor. She cares about what she teaches and is very enthusiastic about the material. The quizzes and tests are not hard by any means, and they are all open-book. There is a lot of material, but it's a manageable amount. Classes are not required except for once a week.

I had professor Murray for POLS 1100. The class was Virtual/Hybrid. Professor Murray gave great lectures. She was funny and made things interesting. She is accessible outside of class and responds to emails quickly. I highly recommend Professor Murray.

Comment:

Dr. Murray was a great political science professor and I really enjoyed her lectures. She was witty, engaging, respectful, and easy to contact. Quizzes were a breeze, but essays and tests were graded pretty harshly. The average grade of each was generally in the high-70s to low-80s range.

I love Professor Murray, she is so funny, and even though she teaches about a boring topic, she finds a way to make it engaging during her lectures. She isn't what I'd call an "easy grader", but she finds a way to work with you and works hard to make sure her students succeed. An incredible professor. Love her!

Murray is the best professor I have ever had. She teaches with passion and makes her lectures interesting. She cares for her students and wants everyone to succeed. There are 3 (easy) exams and 3 small papers throughout the semester, and then there are quizzes at the end of every week (that you take multiple times until you get a 100%).

I loved her I thought she was such an awesome professor. She was willing to work with us and give us second chances when we messed up, and her lessons were mostly lectures, but she was really good at them. She was funny and made students engage with the material. She worked hard to help us get a good grade and actually learn the material.

She is an incredible and interesting lecturer. We had current event discussions each week that you needed to attend to get the points, but attendance is not mandatory. Grade comes mainly from current event discussions and 3 papers about your personal political ideals

Murray is FANTASTIC! She is funny and kind, and she knows how to teach to connect with her students. I cannot say enough good about her. She clearly cares about her students' lives as well as their learning. Short quizzes each week, three tests, and one final group project. It wasn't hard, and it was fun. 10/10

BEST TEACHER EVER. She is entertaining and passionate about the material. You won't need the book, and if you show up to class it really helps for understanding. The week of tests there's no class. With an online quiz for each chapter, 3 papers for a signature project, 3 tests and she drops the lowest, & group discussion- BEST CLASS I EVER TOOK.

Murray is a fantastic professor. She seems to really just care that you are making an attempt to understand the material. Usually, if you just put in a good effort, you will get a good grade. She has a very relatable way of explaining the content to make it fun and interesting. I would highly recommend!

Murray is passionate which makes learning about politics. If you have a basic knowledge about politics, youll be set. The tests are based off the terms in the book and so just memorize basic definitions,. Attendance is not mandatory and she's a super easy grader on the 3 papers you do throughout the semester. 10/10 would recommend

Professor Murray is incredibly knowledgable on the topic. There was very little homework, and I got by the class without getting a textbook. Her class is mostly lectures which included a lot of jokes, and was always open to questions and clarifying things.

Mrs. Murray is a very fun teacher. There are no dumb questions, she'll talk about whatever you want. She LOVES politics and will talk about it in ways that can surprisingly keep you interested.. The only thing is, her tests are all essay question vocab. Each chapter has about 100 terms you need to know. Hope you've got good memory.

Dr. Murray is very nice and helpful, she is very passionate about what she teaches which is great! She will have lots of class discussions and in-depth lectures. I really had no problems with her and thought she was great!

Dr. Murray is a pretty lax professor. You dont have any assignments until the end of the semester, and your only assignment is the final research paper spread out over 5 weeks. Tests are fairly simple, the questions are word for word from the study guide. Only complaint is she isnt very specific with her feedback on your research paper.

Dr. Murray is phenomenal. She's so passionate and her humor is great, which makes for very engaging and enjoyable lectures. The class itself was decent. There are 3 essay question exams (all in the testing center) and one group project (which was pretty easy). Her exams are based on her lectures more than the reading, so don't skip class!

Dr. Murray is awesome. I've taken her classes many times. The first 2/3 of the class is based on lectures and reading. There is a reading quiz every week. 3 essay exams. The last 1/3 of the class is based on group work where a political party is chosen and a report is written with a presentation.

Loved her class, she had a citizen project that you would work on on your own throughout the semester, weekly open book quizzes that were easy to ace, and 4 exams throughout the semester. These exams you basically have to memorize every vocab term from the last 4 or so chapters and hope that you remember the random 30 picked from 100+.
