Cunnington was an emotional rollercoaster, accusing students of cheating, then refusing to apologize when proved wrong. I heard she reitred and can only think NIC is the better for it. She wore out her teaching skills long ago.

Overall was an okay teacher. She very much knows what she is talking about and she was very clear. However she plays favorites real bad, and is an extremely tough grader to a fault. I was wrongly accused of cheating, and I received a C-, after proving my innocence. However NIC policy is no minus scores. and the C- screwed me over when I transferred

I need to understand this material in order to be a good teacher, and the way Cunnington teaches it does not make me feel like I can do it. Very scattered and hard to follow, a lot of busy work, but she cannot answer students questions so that they can be successful teachers of math. Frustrating waste of time.

I like Cheryl, she seems like a really nice person. I don't like the way she teaches this class. I have friends who took this class in the past and really learned a lot. I wish I had the same teacher they had. Cheryl tries, but does not seem able to explain the material so students like me can understand it.

I had to spend many many hours in the tutoring place on campus to understand this course. I went to class regularly but often left confused and had to get my tutor to explain it. She has a kind of nervousness that does not give you confidence in what she is saying. Buyer beware of this teacher, you may not get what you expect.

Had to retake this class, after getting a D last semester in it. Cunnington left me more confused than when I started the course. She was not clear or consistent. The website was a nightmare. Asking questions during her office hours was very uncomfortable.

Cheryl often seems confused in class and even in her office hours. I don't know if she has taught this before, but she seems to not know what she is doing and the class is suffering because of it. She has a certain amount of enthusiasm, but her teaching style is extremely ineffective. I wish I was in a different section.

She doesn't know what she is doing. This course has a reputation of being not too hard, but the way she teaches, nothing is ever clear. I wish I had taken the same teacher my roommate had for this course. My roommate never stopped talking about all the stuff she was learning. Well, not from this teacher, unfortunately

Tough, be prepared to devote lots of time to this class if you take her. Gives a lot of homework in my opinion, and she wasn't really willing to provide any help on exams like other math instructors do at NIC. I will say she does urge her students to work hard, but this class was grueling, not really fan of her teaching methods.

This class did not prepare me to teach math, so I feel it was a waste of time and money. The lack of organization of the teacher and the confusing lack of connection between the homework and the test made this one of the worst classes I have experienced. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone.

She assigns a lot of meaningless homework that is worth very little and has nothing to do with the test. She often rushed through chapters and was very disorganized when it came to chapter review which was always challenging for those who had questions.

She uses MyMathLab way too much and is very unclear of the things that we should take notes on. It's nearly impossible to follow her lectures because she skips around and isn't clear about what to do at all. I went to see her for help numerous times and I felt like she was trying to rush me out, not even answering my questions. Don't recommend.

This class was ridiculously hard and her teaching style only complicated it more. Her use of my math lab was so excessive it took hours every single night for our class to do their homework. She never gave time in class to go over anything and taught up until the last second without answering questions. We started with 25 people and ended with 10.

What a gem I have found in this instructor! I have taken 025 3 times (I know, I know)and am finally moving on to 108 thanks to her. She has shown me that I am capable of a B in math which hasn't been a reality for me since middle school. She uses math XL, so the text isn't needed. Just show up, pay attention, and do homework! What a great spirit!

Not an easy course. Cheryl really knows math, so I think sometimes she goes over material so quickly because she is good at it. The hands on labs, working in groups, really helps with the content though.

Cheryl is an amazing teacher. She is brilliant at math, but is able to dumb it down for us so that we completely understand it. She is very available for extra help. Highly reccomended.

I had taken this class with another teacher and failed miserably. Cheryl takes her time thru each problem to ensure everyone understands. She is willing to set up office time to help outside of cla she also records her lectures so you can go back if you cant remember how to solve the problems and to study for the final. One of my favorite classes!
