One of the nicest professors at UD. Material is pretty interesting if you're interested in Ancient Greece at all. If you go to class you don't even need to read the plays (but you should). Two short quizzes, a midterm, and a take home final. Easy A if you put in the effort.

As long as you have a general idea of what's going on, it's not bad. Attendance isn't necessary but it helps just to soak in the information even if it's super dry. Paper is easy and fun because you can do pretty much whatever you want.

Annette is the best professor on the UD campus...hands down. If you have the opportunity to take a class with her do it. She is the sweetest person and has real enthusiasm for the classics.

Great professor. Really interested in the subject. Weekly quizes, a midterm and final. However, if you show that you are trying she will grade very easy. Easy A if you show up and put in effort.

This was one of my favorite classes that I've taken at this University. The subject material is very interesting and fun to learn about. She is very knowledgeable in her subject, and the stories about Mythology that she tells are very interesting to listen to. I'd recommend this class to anyone!

Excellent professor. She knows a great deal about ancient Rome and Greece, as well as the stories that we read. She goes over the stories in class, but it doesn't make the reading redundant. If you've read them before, it's an easy A.

What a fantastic class! This teacher greatly increased my interest in mythology. The exams were not bad at all. I suggest going through your notes a couple of times, and you should be fine. The epic assignment was a lot of fun. It is one of the best Group A courses offered at UD! Highly recommended!

One quiz, one paper, one exam, and a final. Class is SO BORING! She rambles on and on, giving way more information than you actually need on the tests, which are moderately difficult. Tries to be funny, but isn't even close. She's kind of stuck up and extremely annoying to listen to every day. I wouldn't recommend this torture to anybody.

One of the best courses offered at UD! Go to class and take notes because then you wont have to actually read the epics. She tells you everything you need to know about the subject. The paper due is about anything you want it to be about and you start out with a base grade of C if you did it. Loved this class! Just wish there was a sequel to it.

Giesecke is spectacular. She is so masterful with the material and her love of it is profound and genuine. She is very sweet and makes these often difficult texts incredibly easy. The class is easy, organized extremely well, and her use of multimedia makes the material come to life. I want to teach and I hope I do as good of a job as she does.

I've never admired a professor more than Dr. Giesecke. She's so enthusiastic about Greek Tragedies that class is rarely boring, and while some of the plays we read are difficult to understand, as long as you go to class you'll do well on the tests. The quizzes and exams are very fair, and she always stresses the main points you need to know.
