Amazing Professor! Really teaches you things you NEED to know! I became Queen of Recognizing Comma Splices after her course! I really love Dr. Keaney aka Winnie. She is just an amazing woman. If you have trouble and are falling behind, GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS and ask her for feedback! She is very caring.

Although challenging at times, I liked Prof. Keaney. I found her grading to be fair & she was very helpful in improving my grammar & the overall quality of my writing. However, she never uses BB or tells you what your grades are, which can be frustrating. The final is 40% of your grade & quizzes are almost every class so make sure you attend class!

I'm going to be the devil's advocate & go against the opinions stated. Dr. Keaney is a good professor, but in this particular class, she was just "okay". For anyone who is considering this class, I would highly advise against it. It was for me, a MISERABLE class. Although I passed, if I could turn back time, I wouldn't have taken this class. #TRUTH

Awesome professor. Lots of quizzes and short papers, but no big assignments and she lightens up at the end of the semester. If you participate and do well she makes exceptions for you. She's really nice. take her. Easy A if you put forth effort.

Professor Keaney helped me to improve my grammar. Grammar is her main focus. Many English teachers fail to effectively teach grammar, so I'm glad I chose Mrs. Keaney as my professor.

Professor Keaney expects a lot out of her class, but is willing to work with students and help them succeed. If you show her that you are willing to put forth the effort, she will help you and make exceptions for you. Hard work is key, and will be paid off in what you learn from her class.

Keaney will break you down, but also help strengthen your prose. Her teaching style is neither easy nor is it hard. She is a very understanding professor with an aura that will make you want to approach her. Her insight and in class comments make you want to see what's coming next. Take her class, it's definitely worthwhile, and she's amazing.

I enjoyed Professor Keaney's class. She allows for student input and the topics for discussion are intellectually stimulating. This was not by any means an easy class though. The work load is substantial and she is an incredibly harsh grader. However, her teaching does push you to do your absolute best writing. It's well worth the effort.

She expects a lot from her students. She won't excuse absences even if they are justifiable (like a death in the immediate family). Also, if you are already a strong writer she is NOT challenging. The only really challenging aspect of her class is all the work... there is A LOT of it, and there are plenty assignments that are irrelevant.

This professor has a negative demeanor and takes it out on certain students. Those students aren't the slackers, instead they're the ones she wants weeded out. She does have her favorites. Also, she treats the class as if it's the only class a student is taking. Though it's a tough class, she grades harshly and it's difficult to pass her class.

Best. Professor. Ever. I took her last summer. She's one of my all time favorite teachers, including grade school. She is like your mom who can be tough but expects you to do your best, and you end up being proud of yourself at the end of her class. She's what teachers SHOULD be. No joke. Best. Teacher. Ever.

I took her during the summer and all previous statements are true. She will warn you about the work load and tells slackers to leave. I was scared at the time but I couldn't be happier that I took her. She knows her stuff and is INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. Show up and do the work. She is very sweet and you can learn so much from her if you want to.

I was fortunate to have Prof. Keaney for ENG 325. She prepared us extremely well for future classes. She expects hard work (don't be absent, and expect frequent quizzes), but you get your money's worth in this course. In one-on-one meetings, she is warm and engaging and will help you improve.

She will tell you on day one that she gives A LOT of work. If you don't want to do it, DROP the class. She doesnt want slackers. She is so smart though and she will make u a way better writer. She is really nice and helps tremendously on assignments. Read all the texts though, she'll know if you dont.

I had Professor Keaney for both English 325 and English 400 (medieval lit). She is tough, but you will definitely learn how to write in her 325 class. Slackers not welcome in her class, which makes it all the more more interesting for those who stick it out. Medieval lit mid-term and finals were extremely tough; be prepared.
