Comment:
I had Dr. Kepner for GBII. He's a difficult grader on quizzes and tests but if you use his review materials and know your information you'll probably get a B. Getting an A in this class is close to impossible unless you're an absolute genius. Compared to other Biology teachers Dr. Kepner is fairer. Be prepared to study and DON'T skip class!

Extremely arrogant. His exams and quizzes have nothing to do with his lectures. He copies and pastes questions from online homework- which is on quizlet but not even taught in class. Extremely harsh grader on open ended questions and thinks a 75 is a good grade.

Dr. Kepner is a pretty chill guy, but doesn't give much beyond reading off the slides. The same information is in your textbook - get the international version for less $. He is very detail-oriented and you will need to know the most obscure things for tests/quizzes. Still, it's all based on hw and textbook readings. Difficult but great professor.

Comment:
Overall good teacher, but tests are somewhat difficult. Quizzes are easy and help grade. Very very picky about lab write ups but some labs are fun (others torturous) and include a field trip. Lab grade should help class grade. Class can get boring but he makes corny jokes which ease the mood.

hard grader, he'll take off points if you dont give him exactly what he's looking for. overall, though, he's a good guy, and participate so he likes you. a little cocky but he's a funny guy, i learn a lot in his class

Great teacher. He's extremely nice and loves when you participate. Don't be afraid to answer wrong, he doesn't make you feel stupid and he is very open about helping you if you need it. He has a clear grading policy so you'll know exactly what you need to do to do well in the course.

Easier upper lvl science classes. 2 Exams + Cum. Final, 3 Quizes. (drop lowest) Tests are basically the same each year GET OLD TESTS! One of the more time demanding labs, but not hard. Final project is a little tricky but he grades easily. Lecture is really boring but you can skip it pretty often w/o hurting your grade or understanding.

Dr. Kepner is a character. Does a lot of talking in lab that seems to waste time, but he's a nice guy and likes to make jokes, however corny they are. He can be a little picky with grading but he does say exactly what he wants in graphs and write-ups. He likes class participation even though its a lab. Pretty good class.

Cocky and sees himself as superior. Your time and your answers are inferior to his own. Even though he teaches the subject well, he is repetative and enjoys chuckling at his own lame ass jokes. If ned flanders bothers you in the simpsons, Kepner will provide you with that same nausia.

He is very condesending and always makes you feel like an idiot when you answer a question. He thinks that a good grade is a 75, which is the average class grade of all his exams. Oh yeah and he dosent curve at all. Also he repeats himself about 20 times in one lecture it is so annoying. So if you want to understand everything and get a C take him.

Great research advisor. He is willing to help out anytime and stay as late as possible to get work done. Good motivator. I would recommend Dr. Kepner if you are willing to work hard and are motivated to do scientific research rather than a do a few experiments that you know will work.

Exams are way toooooo long. Nobody finishes on time and questions are NOT fare. Admits that he tries to keep the class average at a low C. DONT take for Gen Bio II. Take Dr. Ingalls instead!!! Hardest grader and is the worst bio teacher at Marist.

Class is so boring that you start comparing him to Ned Flanders... The book can teach you better than this guy... Tests are hard and when he says he scales at the end, he doesn't.
