ELEG 310 is one of the most hardest class and it is also soo boring. He himself admits that this course is a hard course. The whole class is basically probability and a little bit of statistics. He hates teaching this course because he is an EM professor but forced to teach this course. He curves at the end.

He gives plenty of homework, but as long as you do all of it you should do alright on the exams. Exams are tough and he grades hard, but he tells you that upfront. Don't worry if your grade seems low at first, he curves like you would never believe. Not as mean as people say he is, but he does have a big ego.

Mixed feelings. I found Weile to be arrogant & a tad mean. One of those classes where you're scared to ask questions b/c you feel the professor will look down on you. However, he is a good professor. Very clear explanations made the material easy to understand. And fair exams. Homework excessive at times.

Weile moves too fast in class so you won't be able to learn the material in lectures. The homework is time consuming but crucial for learning the material. Go to office hours because Weile does a better job explaining things there. Weile grades fairly and curves based on class performance. Do better than rest of the class and you'll do well.

I have to say Weile the man first of all..i struggled the first two exams but owned the last exam and i can handle the final. The thing you have to understand is he cant stand dumb people or people that choose not to try. put in the effort and you will get a good grade this class is to test how bad you want to be an engineer half the class dropped

Weile is everything but easy. He is one of the better lecturers that I have experienced, and he is great in his office hours. The difficulty of his class hit me like a ton of bricks, but that is why he gives four exams: so you have time to learn from your mistakes. I bombed his first exam, but then he helped me get on track and I got a solid grade

Many people around campus will tell you he is the antichrist and he is the hardest teacher ever and how his class is impossible. It's al bull. He is a good teacher and he helps a lot during his office hours and he also answers e-mail very quickly (sometimes in minutes). If you want to be an engineer and are willing to do work you will do fine.

Don't let Weile scare you. This class, as others have said, is meant to be hard to weed out the engineers. Just go to lecture and prepare to spend a good chunk of time on the homework. DO NOT fall behind. Weile is a great professor and wants you to learn. Go to his office hours if you need help, he is always willing to put in the time.

Weile is a very good prof. His lectures are helpful, as well as office hour help (he's also much more laid back believe it or not). This class is a make-or-break course for engineers, so expect fast-paced progression and difficult material. BE PREPARED for a challenge. Weile can't put in the hours for you, but he certainly does his job well.

This guy is somewhat arrogant but very student oriented. Lets you know exactly how you're doing and what you need to do to pass. Very fair and always approachable. Good teacher, moves through quickly but the learning is up to you anyways. Class is hard but Weile is doing what is best for the students.

worst teacher at the university. you can be a GREAT student in EVERY class but he will change things. he does not care about his students...he had a 4.0 in college and thinks that he is better then everyone. is NOT usefull during class or office hours. the book is helpful but forget it when it comes to exams...good luck

Prepare to do alot of work. This class will make or break you...you will fall behind in all of your other classes b/c of it..don't screw up the first exam its not a joke..do all the homework its the only way to learn the material..helpful in office hours..good luck you will need it

I don't know what these people are thinking that say he cares about students. He will just make fun of you and insult you and then talk about his 4.0 GPA. He's a total @$$ to everyone. I would say avoid at all costs but his class is required.

Conceptually, a great teacher and the information makes sense in class. The tests however required you to apply the correct equation instantly or you would run out of time. Grades are definately based on what you put on the test paper.

How can I explain this guy's class... I am a very good student. Straight A's, very good conceptual understanding of things... fine. But, his exams are absurd. You cannot solve his questions in the allotted time unless you have seen the exact problem before(no thinking allowed!).
